Minnesota State Law that all children MUST be screened at some point between the ages of 3 and 5 years be screened in order to enter the District's preschool program and to enter kindergarten.  This screening must be completed BEFORE the first day of school.

Screening is NOT an examination to determine school readiness. It is an opportunity for parents and care givers to review their children’s growth and development and follow up on any concerns. Preschool Screening is FREE and includes:  developmental screening of motor, cognitive, communication and social emotional skills, vision and hearing screening, height and weight screening, immunization review and administration, and review of health history.
